Longevity and tolerability of facial fillers
In June 2005 hautok initiated the first clinical study investigating the longevity and tolerability of different facial fillers that are utilized for wrinkle augmentation. Which fillers last longer, synthetic or biological fillers? Which patients are more prone to develop problems with tolerability? The longevity of the treatment effect is documented using the hautok Visia™ skin analysis system. For the first study 120 patients were examined, 50 were included into the study. A subsequent study on the same subject includes 120 of 220 recruited patents. The results of these studies are supposed to be presented at the annual conference of the American Academy of Dermatology. Internationally there is so far no comparable clinical study that includes that many patients.
New treatment for psoriasis
hautok is the only dermatological practice in Munich participating in a multicentric clinical study that aims to prove the efficacy and tolerability of a new TNF-alpha-Inhibitor for the treatment of psoriasis. TNF-alpha inhibitors, which are already successfully applied for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, inhibit the synthesis of the TNF-alpha protein, a protein that induces inflammation.
Efficacy and tolerability of skin care products
Do you know whether your day-, night or anti-wrinkle cream really keeps what it promises? In cooperation with renowned cosmetic manufacturers hautok conducts studies in order to prove the efficacy and tolerability of skin care products. These studies, which are realized under the supervision of Dr. Marion Moers-Carpi, are often conducted one or two years before these skin care products are finally launched. Analogous to the clinical studies performed for facial fillers, the results of the cosmetic skin care treatments – before and after - are documented using the hautok Visia™ skin analysis system
As a matter of course all patients who volunteer to participate in a clinical study are comprehensively informed about the study program. Please feel free to fill out and send our Study Subject Contact form if you are interested in taking part in one of our future studies.
